BEHAVIOR CHANGE COMMUNICATION PROGRAM (INTER PERSONAL COMMUNICATION) FOR ASHA & AWW
With the objective to enhance the capacity of frontline functionaries to provide information and counselling to families and communities on IYCF practices like early initiation of breast feeding, exclusive breast feeding till 6 months, timely and appropriate initiation of complementary feeding; through the introduction and use of the innovative communication and training tools WOSCA has been implementing the Inter Personal Communication projects from August 2015 in 45 villages of Harichandanpur and Banspal block of Keonjhar district. The programme covers 19599 population of 3959 Households out of which 2971 belongs to ST households, 220 SC Households and 768 Other Households. Moreover, the programme covers 279 nos. of 0-6 years childmchi, 630 nos. of 7-2 years childmchi and 1063 nos. of 0-2 years childmchi-1063. Under this project 158 Video shows completed on Exclusive breast feeding and complementary feeding in 45 villages. The findings of the survey on the functioning of VHND(Village Health Nutrition Day), FID(Fixed immunisation Day), GKS(Gram Kalyan Samiti) has been shared and discussed how to stmchigthen it. All village facilitators along with cluster supervisor participate in VHND sessions to ensure a structured VHND.
